Mark your calendars, Esplanade residents! Next Thursday, September 17, the management team will host an End of the Season cook-out for Esplanade residents.
This fun-filled event will be held from 4:30pm – 7:30pm and will feature swimming, games, delicious food and beverages. It is a great way for us to say, “thank you” to all who call The Esplanade at National Harbor “home.” And, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the end of the summer.
Make sure you don’t miss this exciting event to relax, enjoy tasty food, and spend time getting to know your neighbors.
But don’t feel bad about the end of summer – while it’s hard to say goodbye to beautiful weather, crystal-clear swimming pools, and weekend beach trips, fall has plenty to offer, too. In fact, just to keep you excited about the coming season, here are 6 reasons to look forward to fall, after the End of the Season cook-out this Thursday:
1. Colorful Foliage
Everyone loves the red, gold, and orange shades that light up the trees each fall. Whether you’re out for a weekend drive or walking to work in the city, fall offers gorgeous scenery for your trip.
2. Autumn Delicacies
Now’s the time to sip hot apple cider and Pumpkin Spice Lattés from Starbucks – yum! And bakers can explore whipping up fall treats like apple muffins and pumpkin bread.
Who cares if your favorite team is good or not? Watching football is one of the best things about fall, no matter who you’re pulling for. From NFL teams to your college alma mater, the weekends are filled with exciting games to watch.
4. Fall Fashion
Sure, skirts and swimsuits are fun to wear, but we know you’re dying to break out the tall boots and cuddly sweaters! Fall is the time to change your wardrobe up and indulge in the cozier – and more forgiving – fashion trends.
Oktoberfest festivities will take place all over the region. While they are fun opportunities to explore the German culture, they are also perfect excuses to drink a lot of beer! Google “Oktoberfest” to find a festival nearby.
Another favorite holiday is just around the corner. No matter how old you are, getting dressed up and celebrating Halloween is always a good time. Taking your kids trick-or-treating is always fun, but adults (and pets!) can get in on the fun, too.
