Tucked against the glistening Potomac, National Harbor is the DC area’s hottest new destination for living, working and playing. Since 2008, it has been transformed from an early-stage mixed-use development project into a thriving destination with top-notch dining, shopping, and fun.
If you live at The Esplanade, you have everything National Harbor has to offer at your doorstep. From restaurants, bars and lounges to the waterfront and numerous events happening throughout the year, there’s always something fun going on in our neighborhood.
Summer is definitely one of the best times to live at National Harbor because outdoor events are being held almost all the time. The Plaza Screen features some of your favorite shows, sporting events, and movies in a friendly outdoor setting.
You can cheer on the Orioles with your friends, and catch all the action of the Women’s World Cup on the huge screen in the afternoons and evenings. TV shoes like “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” The Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs,” and even the game show classic, “Family Feud.” The next movie to be featured on Plaza Screen is “Martian Child,” which will show this Sunday, June 21st, from 6pm – 8pm. Admission is completely FREE, and you are welcome to bring a lawn chair and picnic, too.
The 2015 film season runs through September 27th, and all shows are held on Sundays. Best of all, you can enjoy the Potomac as a backdrop to your favorite films!
