Go Boating in DC at the National Harbor

Thanks to the National Harbor, Washington, DC is a city that welcomes outdoorsy people. If you're one of them, it's definitely time that you go boating at the National Harbor if you haven't already. The Capitol Wheel whirls slowly, looking out over the water, as athletes and thrillseekers hit the waves.

Head to the boathouse to rent the watercraft of your choice and get up close and personal with the harbor. Take out one of the signature swan pedal boats for a turn around the water, or hit the waves solo in a sturdy kayak. If you're willing to take a dip (unintentional or otherwise), try a stand-up paddleboard. You can take a paddleboard lesson before you get started, and then enjoy the leisurely athletic activity—which also doubles as a great ab workout. Don't worry if you show up after hours because the boathouse also offers night light pedal-boating around dusk.
