One of these hardworking team members is Darin Gravallese. Darin is The Esplanade’s Sales and Service Associate. Read on to get a little behind the scenes sneak peak at your community!

What is the best part of being a part of the Esplanade team?

The atmosphere. Everyone that works on our team genuinely loves what they are doing. Here at The Esplanade coming to work every day is fun! Everyone is always in good spirits which creates a positive and fun work environment.

What sets The Esplanade apart from other luxury apartment communities?

The simple answer would be our team. We care about all of our residents even if it isn’t someone that we dealt with directly during the leasing process. We are in constant communication so everyone is in the loop on what is going on. We would like to be able to help any resident that comes in with any questions or concerns they may have even if their primary contact isn’t around. We also strive to bring a luxury lifestyle directly to the resident and there is no better place to do so then in National Harbor. The wide variety of amenities we offer isn’t too bad either!

What’s your favorite thing about National Harbor?

Being a big sports fan I don’t think there is anything cooler in the area than the big screen by the water playing the football games on Sunday. The background view of the Potomac River and The Wilson Bridge really add to the calming atmosphere. There isn’t a ticket in town that can beat the view the screen provides. Having a few restaurants located in viewing distance of the screen that have outside seating is a nice luxury as well, and you can skip the long lines and overpriced food and drinks!

Maryland is home to a lot of great cities and destinations. What is your favorite MD attraction?

Fort Washington Park. It has a great location right along the Potomac and so full of history. Built in 1809 it has been through many wars and were often the only protection for the Capital. It’s very cool that the original lighthouse is still in use today.

The Esplanade and National Harbor have brought a lot to the surrounding community–where do you see the neighborhood in 5 years?

In 5 years I see National Harbor being its own little city. With the MGM opening very soon it will be a place where residents don’t ever want to leave. With everything in such close proximity there really isn’t much reason for them to! I see this being a real hotspot in the DMV area for a long time, people will be lining up to move here! I believe in terms of entertainment value the Harbor will be right on the level as most big cities!

What’s your favorite lunch or dinner spot near the Esplanade?

If you are looking for something relatively quick for lunch you can’t beat Nando’s or Potbelly’s. My Favorite dinner spot is definitely Redstone, everything on the menu is great but what really gets me is their world famous corn bread!

Any exciting upcoming developments Esplanade residents can expect?

We are now doing hard hat tours by appointment! It is a great opportunity for our residents to get a look at their brand new homes and for future residents to get an in depth look at what The Esplanade offers. With our first move-ins coming up very soon there is a lot to get excited about!
